The Center City Power Friday is held on the 2nd Friday of the month.
Topic: Blending the Social and Economic Halves of Your Business
Your business can be an opportunity to integrate the social and economic halves of society in order to create value. Firms, no matter their size, can enact a corporate social strategy with the possibilities of addressing some of society's most pressing needs. When this integration is done well, it can lead to firms performing better in the marketplace.
Speaker: JoAnn Flett, PhD, (ABD), is a Senior Lecturer in Management and directs the MBA in Social Impact at Eastern University. Her research focuses on the role of business in society. JoAnn serves on the board of directors for three non-profit organizations: The Accord Network, Board Street Ministry and Capital for Good. JoAnn is married to Eric Flett and the couple has two sons, Miles (22) and Elliot (19).
