The book: Outliers: The Story of Success by Malcolm Gladwell

Why a Book Club?

Business owners are continual learners and what better way than to discuss business books with other like-minded people.

But Why On-line?

Getting NAWBO members together after a long day is difficult for many because of the physical distance between us.  So, we decided to give a book club a try with the help of technology.  Get in front of your computer, tablet, phone, whatever with your favorite beverage-glass of wine or cup of tea-in comfy relaxing clothes.  Then have an enjoyable conversation about a business book with friends.

How does the Meeting Work?

Approximately every 6 weeks, 10 NAWBO members (yes, you must be a member and yes, there is a limit on number who can attend) gather on a Zoom call. Zoom logon information is sent to you after you sign up for the meeting.  The “chat” room opens at 7:15 enabling you to network beforehand.   From 7:30 to 9:00, a facilitated discussion about the book occurs.

Do I Need to Read the Book?

Reading the book is best, but we realize life happens so prior to the meeting a synopsis of the book is sent out to those who signed up.

Finally, the initial 4 books selected are based on survey feedback, book reviews, and ease of access (library, downloadable versions, and purchase).  We want your input as to what other books should be added to the list.  So, please let me know if there is a book you think NAWBO members should discuss.
