Advocacy Journey 2022, Part 1: An introduction to NAWBO Advocacy
This webinar is hosted by NAWBO Greater Philadelphia’s Advocacy Committee as part of a series to educate and engage members around the National NAWBO advocacy agenda and give members a greater understanding of their role and influence as a business owner. Three women who have been involved in advocacy will help tell the story: Sandy Clitter, Ellen Fisher and Elle Patout.
Who should attend?
Greater Philadelphia Chapter members and others who want to learn more about advocacy for women business owners, such as non-member WBO’s and entrepreneurs, Alliance Partners, and NAWBO members from other chapters. This webinar will be of particular interest to those who want to learn about how NAWBO works on behalf of its members and the larger WBO community. It also will be inspiring to those who would like to become more active in advocacy.
Registration is required. Registration closes 5pm on February 15, 2022.
Meet our panelists:
Sandy Clitter
President at Your Tech Tamer, LLC
Sandy founded Your Tech Tamer in 1998 to close a hole that she felt existed in getting “real time” information into the hands of managers with ease. As an Information Architect and Business Processes consultant, Sandy provides her clients with insightful solutions to business challenges. She works with small and mid-sized companies, helping them to manage the data and systems that drive their business, rather than allowing the systems to drive the processes. While the last 20+ years have seen great changes and improvements in technology, Your Tech Tamer still prides itself on making meaningful data analysis ‘One Buttonable’.
While Sandy has been a business owner since 1998, she wasn’t lucky enough to discover and join NAWBO until the fall of 2008. By the end of her first year, she had taken to heart the saying “The more you participate, the more you get out of it.” Since then, Sandy has served at both the NAWBO Greater Philadelphia and NAWBO National levels. A few of her roles and accolades have included being a member of the NAWBO Greater Philadelphia and NAWBO National Technology Committees, Chapter Board Treasurer, recipient of Greater Philadelphia Board Member of the Year and President’s Awards, and member of the National President’s Assembly Steering Committee. Sandy has attended every National Women’s Business Conference, except for one, since 2010.
